sit down for a power lunch for 60 minutes or so with these vids and learn something from the 21st century’s greatest author, michael lewis (”the blind side” & “moneyball”).
michael’s new book “the big short” talks about the wall street outsiders who saw the subprime mortgage con early, bet against this profit center & made millions upon millions for their foresight … the capper was outsider dr. michael burry–blind in one eye and diagnosed with asperger syndrome–who made $725 million for his people in 2007 when he saw how wall street & its handmaidens–the bond-rating agencies–were allowing investors to destroy $1.75 trillion of wealth.
felix salmon of reuters calls this book “the best piece of financial journalism ever written” … the washington post’s steven pearlstein says if you read one book on the causes of the recent financial crisis, read lewis’ … with those kind of reviews, i’m guessing when i’m done reading “the big short,” my favorite all-time books will have been written by either God or michael lewis (1. the Bible; 2. “moneyball”, 3. “the blind side”; 4. “the big short”???).
