fresno beach longtime amiga samantha lockwood is--as usual--getting rave reviews in the fashion & film world. her fleurings earrings were just featured in us weekly and genlux magazines, while palm springs life placed samantha in its "40 under 40" young stars issue. her "shoot the hero" dvd--co-starring jason mewes and our longtime amigo danny trejo--will be released october 1, weeks after danny's "machete" has hit the big screen. in this film, desert star weekly's eonn skye calls samantha a "young jennifer aniston", which makes sense to us here at the beach since we see sam as a good, old friend ... kinda like rachel green, who actually was a young jennifer aniston. continued success to ya, samantha!!

"epic!" ... perhaps the best ufc card ever. and it was capped with shane carwin solidifying his rep as the best first-round fighter since tyson ... and with ufc champion brock lesnar keeping his belt while solidifying his rep as the "toughest s.o.b. around". i know cain is waiting to see if he's able, but as for me, i cannot wait to see lesnar-carwin II ... might have to wait til 2011 for that rematch, but at least my mind can tivo over & over again this classic ufc 116 battle of ground-&-pound versus brock-&-roll. so proud of both fighters ... whatafight! ... whatanight!! ... july 3, 2010 goes down in ufc history ... two champs entered the octagon ... and two champions exited ... although the world now knows brock is clearly king after these fireworks. people around the world ain't talked this much about heavyweights since howard cosell talked this much about heavyweights ... way back in time, like, in the '70s when frazier & ali & foreman & norton were rumblin' in jungles & thrillin' in manila & all that pugilist stuff. okay ... maybe i'm exaggerating. the '90s had some great heavyweight boxing matchups too ... but i've never seen this much heavyweight buzz on facetwittertube in either boxing or ultimate fighting (and, yes, i realize facetwittertube hasn't been around that long, people). first off, we had the man dana white's priceless twitter smile, which was a tweet worth a thousand words (or perhaps 70-plus) ... everybody's main man elie seckbach & his youtube videos aptly captured the emotion of saturday's strikeforce stunner (see below) ... and shane carwin's woman--mrs. lani alexander-carwin (happy anniversary to you two!!)--probably summed up the respect best on her facebook page: "Fedor is amazing.
